VeriWave Chosen to Drive Wireless Network Demonstration at Interop Berlin
PORTLAND OR – October 24, 2007 –VeriWave, Inc., the leading provider of Wireless LAN functional and performance analysis systems, has been selected by Interop Berlin 2007 as the sole provider for all wireless test equipment used at InteropNet, being held at the Berlin Fairground, November 6 - 8. InteropNet will be showcasing the impact various configurations of wireless network Access Points have on the performance of voice and video applications.
InteropNet will demonstrate the ability of a WLAN to prioritize different types of traffic while maintaining the expected end-user QoE (Quality of Experience), a primary focus of VeriWave’s WaveTest analysis systems. The network will consist of three Access Points (APs), each configured differently but all required to properly differentiate between voice, video and data traffic using techniques such as 802.11e and WMM. To gauge how changes in configuration affect end-user QoE, one AP will use a default configuration as delivered by the factory, a second AP is to be configured by an end user, and a third by a network professional. VeriWave’s WaveTest 90 system will generate the various types of traffic as well as measure and analyze the achieved QoE using VeriWave’s recently launched WiMix™ test application.
“During our recent participation in the Voice over Wireless Showcase at Interop Las Vegas 2007, we found that users, vendors and service providers alike benefited from hands-on experimentation with a variety of equipment and traffic scenarios,” says Eran Karoly, VP Marketing at VeriWave. “It was a rewarding experience all around and we’re very much looking to achieve the same goals in Berlin.”
