The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) was evaluating a number of WLAN infrastructure equipment vendors before deploying a new network. The new wireless network was designed to dramatically enhance a visitor’s experience through the use of handheld wireless devices, as well as to create a mobile work environment for the museum employees. Wireless Medical Equipment Case Study - Evaluating a Patient Vital Signs Monitor System (PVMS)

One of the world’s leading medical equipment manufacturers was faced with the challenge of making critical patient data available seamlessly on a hospital’s wireless infrastructure network. This case study illustrates how the VeriWave WaveTest system was successfully used to pre-determine the expected performance of the Wireless Patient Monitor System in a hospital environment which is comprised of other patient monitors, video cameras, laptops, iPhones and other wireless devices.
