Technical Support Engineer,
Network Protocol/Wireless

Description
Utilizing knowledge of network protocols, 802.11 wireless, and script based coding, and a passion to solve a wide range of complex testing problems, in helping our customers with their network testing needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers and/or the VeriWave sales force to insure customer success. This will include resolving customer specific integration issues, product training, and customer specific development. Utilize knowledge of 802.11 and WLAN to analyze protocol traffic and understand issues with 802.11, train others on specific products and tests.
- Provide technical support to customers and field personnel by providing problem identification and resolution.
- Work with marketing to develop new demonstrations for existing and new VeriWave products.
- Create Application Notes to address specific technical details of using VeriWave products.
- Design and develop test applications based on Python and Tcl scripting languages and user interfaces based on QT or similar development environments.
- Occasional travel via air, to provide support to the field and roll out applications to customers.
Requirements
- BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent technical degree.
- At least one year of experience developing, testing, or supporting WLAN equipment.
- Good programming knowledge and skills in C, C++, and multiple scripting languages, such as Perl, tcl, python, etc.
- Knowledge of networking, such as TCP/IP, switching and routing, or 802.11 subsections.
- Demonstrated proficiency with WLAN tools, sniffers, etc.
- Excellent analytical and technical problem solving skills.
- Good troubleshooting skills, with the ability to troubleshoot customer issues in their environment and work with other engineers to resolve them.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an interrupt-driven environment.
