Description / Scope:

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible to launch and take to market VeriWave’s brand new product line designed to certify and survey wireless LAN installations in corporate environments. The PMM will assume responsibility to a product which revolutionizes the way wireless LAN’s are installed, deployed, and managed. This new product addresses the need of System Integrators and IT Managers to qualify mission-critical networks after installation but before actual are allowed on the network.

  • Manage product launch through hands-on demos, alpha and beta tests, and on-going product enhancements with customers.
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, including customer engagements, online webinars, trade shows, on-line and in-person education seminars and advertising.
  • Train Channel Partners on VeriWave technologies and product offerings.
  • Research and evolve market requirements for current and future products. Conduct market research, including on-going visits to existing and potential customers.
  • Analyze competing products to determine product requirements and differentiators.
  • Create sales collateral to support product launch and on-going market acceptance.
  • Manage the product life cycle by continuing to evolve product requirements based on customer feedback.

Create the marketing requirements for future offerings within the post-deployment test product line including service assurance and service monitoring.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (additional Marketing degree is a plus), four+ years of direct product management experience at a Testing, Networking, or Wireless LAN company.

  • Proven track record in marketing, selling and launching products sold to IT managers and/or Communication System Integrators.
  • Strong product management and/or product marketing skills. Related skills and working experience in: go-to-market planning and execution, evolving product ideas into reality, transforming requirements into product specifications, creating business cases, competitive analysis, customer needs analysis, and market research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America, the Far East, and Europe (25-50%)

Highly Desired:

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wireless LAN) and good knowledge of the Wireless LAN industry and technology, with strong hands-on experience in using networking and/or WLAN devices or networking test equipment.
